Can I delete one website and download another?

My son had a school project to create a website. Since we had a free domain name with our sonic account we used it for his project and then downloaded a simple html site so his teacher could access it online and he could get credit for it. Of course, no one will ever look at the website again so I hate for the free hosting to go to waste.

I had planned to delete the site and then use the hosting for another domain name I already own. if I delete his domain name and directory, can I transfer my domain and use the free hosting account for it? I don't see why it wouldn't work, I just want to make sure it's possible.

The pricing for domain registration is not transferable, but if you contact Support, they should be able to update the (free) Personal Hosting to be for a different site.
