Kodi Kore Remote Help

Hey guys im i've been trying to connect my phone to my computer to use as a remote on Kodi but it hasn't been letting me.Im pretty sure it has to do with my router's firewall. I got the PACE 5268AC. This modem/router doesn't let me disable the firewall for some reason. Any help guys?? :?:

You probably have to forward the port that the Kodi Remote webserver service uses (usually its 80 or 8080 but its recommended to use a custom port for security reasons). Also make sure the webserver service is activated in Kodi.

I don't have the Pace but you may want to look at the firewall section for forwarding setting.

edit: also if Kodi is running on Windows, you may have to allow Kodi.exe in Windows firewall.
