phpBB is rewriting my text

I recently posted some details in another thread about DNS and a domain name, and noticed later that phpBB had rewritten the text of my post, prepending http:// to the domain names I had typed. This significantly changed the meaning of the content, and made it rather confusing to read. (A domain name and a URL are not the same thing at all.) Can someone at Sonic disable this behavior?

For example, I'm going to type a domain name here, and I expect the forum software will rewrite it into a URL:

http://www.facebook.com

EDIT: It seems to happen when I use the Preview feature before submitting my post.
