Hi all,
I've had Sonic fiber for a few years, my ONT has 2 ports, one labeled 10Gb and one 2.5Gb. To my recollection when I first installed the fiber connection both ports worked, but I've only ever used the 10Gb port. Recently I tried using both at the same time with 2 different Eero devices and setting up two separate Wi-Fi SSIDs, but the 2.5Gb port seems to be disabled and Eero was never able to access the internet.

Also note that recently Sonic support replaced my ONT due to some software issues. The box looks the same, but I am told it doesn't have the issue.

So my question is: are both ports supposed to work at the same time? Did I dream that they both worked or maybe something changed?

No, the 2.5g port is disabled according to this: https://help.sonic.com/hc/en-us/article ... dtran-632V

I don't believe eeros support multiple ssids other than a guest network. If you want to use both eeros on your network with separate ssids then your best bet is to place a router between the ont and eeros which supports vlans or has multiple interfaces. Then you can put the eeros in bridge mode and assign a different ssid to each eero.

Ideally, one would use wired access points that support multiple ssids instead but that may be overkill for your situation.
