web access to index.html forbidden

I enabled web pages and in a shell created a index.html under /home/www_pages/erwincoumans

When visiting http://erwincoumans.users.sonic.net/ it reports forbidden.

File access rights are fine (rwx for everyone).

What could be the issue?

Never mind, the documentation (*) is likely out-of-date.

Adding the index.html under ~/public_html works fine.
