not getting wordpress install to work

Hi,

I'm trying to install wordpress through the member tools and keep getting this error:

Wordpress could not be set up at the URL and directory you selected.
You can try again in a different directory.

I want to install it in the hosted domain and I have 2 choices of install location:
myname.users.sonic.net OR myhosteddomain.com

The directory is empty (as far as I can tell). Is there something else?
