Hi, I have an FTP dump of an old wordpress version 2.7 site that I'd like to resuscitate. The Sonic one-click installer loaded up the latest version for me, but it is of course incompatible with the files from the older version. So I guess what I need to do is Uninstall the current version, install 2.7, restore the site, and then update to 3.5.2 from there. I don't see any obvious way to remove the current installation - it's not just as easy as deleting all files, is it? Also, where is the Database? I can't find anything in Member Tools>Databases. It looks like it wants me to create a new database but doesn't have the current WP database listed. Do I need to delete the current database before I install 2.7? Any help is greatly appreciated - thanks!
Currently, there is no customer tool for uninstalling the one-click versions of Wordpress. If you give our support department a call, they can make the necessary changes to remove any old one-click installs.
While we don't provide the same access to the databases for the one-click installs, you can find the relevant information in the wp-config.php file for your site. Please see the other thread on Wordpress backups for more information.
