punipuni wrote: Tue Oct 01, 2024 10:53 am YAY! Saw Sonic truck roll by on camera and I can safely assume the line was run to the outside of the house. My original appointment was for this Thurs and I remember that it was for running the fiber from pole to house. Will i get another appointment for the installation in the house or the current set appointment will now be for that?

Thanks Dane & crew!
Hi there,

It looks like we're currently performing the Fiber Drop to your home as I type this message. You're currently scheduled for installation on 10/3 between 12pm-4pm. If that day/time doesn't work for your schedule, please private message me and I'd be more than happy to reschedule the appointment for you.

Kind regards,
Brandon C.

Just wanted to post that things are looking like they are going in the right direction here in 94521 area. Before today my projected installation had slipped to June 2026, however today it moved up to August 2025. This is the first time since I signed up in June of 2023 that it's moved up. :D

Very happy to see that! At the north end of 94598 we're still stuck at May 2026 for now. Hopefully we'll see progress like 94521 soon too!

Well maybe I spoke too soon and jinxed it.

I just checked again to show a coworker and it’s now dropped back to showing “Pre-construction” with no date at all.

I guess I didn’t need to order my UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber after all.

Just checked, mine is also back to pre-construction for 94598 too  . I am happy with my uxg-fiber though regardless, I at least have a 10Gbps lan  .

I wonder if this means litigation has started?

:?: What am I missing? I am wondering if that’s what is going on.

I think it’s time to reach out to the city again and CC all the state representatives for the area since the city’s Bypass Pole rules definitely seem to be one sided. The pole on my street still hasn’t been removed and it clearly been well over a year. All this rule is doing is hurting the residents.

I meant that if litigation has started then things will likely slow up while PG&E and AT&E prepare to defend their stance rather than to address the issues (as Eli from Sonic Customer Care pointed out might happen in the 94598 thread, if litigation started).

Thanks! I just read through the posts on that thread. I think it’s definitely time to write another letter to the city again. :(
