What's with DNS?

Suddenly diskcompare.com quit resolving using
208.201.224.33
208.201.224.11
69.94.156.1
69.94.157.1

BUT successfuly resolves using
8.8.8.8

Why? Does it have anything to do with sonic changing how their nameservers resolve? Or anything to do with Rainshower Sandy?
