I set up a domain email address called:

upload-*@itsgreenerhere.com

I have that pointing to an email address at sonic.net under my account.

When I try to send an email to [email protected], I get the following response:

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<[email protected]>
(reason: 550 5.1.1 <[email protected]>... No such user here)

What am I doing wrong?

Wildcards in our email system do not work like that but you should be able to use "+" routing.

You'd just create your alias "foo@domain" and then give out "foo+TAG@domain", the +TAG information will be kept intact allowing you to correctly handle the mail on your end.
