Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 10084511 bytes)

I get this when updating a control panel entry on a Thesis theme. I have several WordPress blogs on a Multi-Install database setup. The other Thesis themes also will occasionally get the same error when doing the same thing.

This error does not occur with other WP installs with other themes.

I have contacted support for this theme and they are saying it's because of the limit of memory. Mine is set to 256MB for WordPress but I have heard it's 64MB max anyway.

Can you tell me what my actual memory size is? I think I will switch to another host (I DO love Sonic.net, though!).

I would love to stay but if I can't get this problem solved, their recommendation is that I switch hosts.

I haven't tried it but I think you should be able to set a higher memory limit using a php user.ini file.

For example:

memory_limit = 256M
