Sonic Fiber in Castro Valley?

Is there an ETA on when Sonic will be available in CV? My status page has showed my address to be in Construction phase since May, and the forecasted live date has rolled from May to June to now July.

Now in my 3rd month of Construction stage. Crew installed their equipment and wiring for a few days in May and in early July, they installed a secondary telephone pole right next to AT&T's pole next to my house. Just sad to see the status change with a Go Live date for the current month push to the next month at the month's end. Starting to wonder if the Sonic fiber will ever go Live.

Is it safe to say we will start seeing installations this month?

I talked to some actual Sonic.net folks working on some fibre here in CV a couple of months ago, not the fibre contractors pulling the lines. They said that they had heard the holdup in CV was that the contractors had pulled the wrong feeder fibre (with an incorrect number of lines for the backbone from the CO in Hayward to CV), and that work was having to be redone. I've also heard they are short of installers. Who knows? All we really get from Sonic is Real Soon Now™.

I just got email from Sonic yesterday. Was told that fiber network are activated and auto-scheduled the installation date next week Wednesday. My house are in 94546 area, just front of 580/238 junction near 3Crosses Church.

So I ran my parents' address in Sonic availability; their address are also in deeper 94546 territory near Marshall Elementary School. Result showing "Request Fiber". For comparison, my address showing "Get Started"

So I guess Sonic just started to lighting up the fiber network in some area of 94546?

I just got email from Sonic yesterday. Was told that fiber network are activated and auto-scheduled the installation date next week Wednesday. My house are in 94546 area, just front of 580/238 junction near 3Crosses Church.

So I ran my parents' address in Sonic availability; their address are also in deeper 94546 territory near Marshall Elementary School. Result showing "Request Fiber". For comparison, my address showing "Get Started"

So I guess Sonic just started to lighting up the fiber network in some area of 94546?

Same neighborhood, and the fiber status tool just updated today, and they pushed back the projected activation to December 2024.

I’ve had preorder since 06/23, and I’m getting tired of waiting. Seriously considering AT&T fiber, at least it’s cheaper than Comcast.
