Today's support line outage

Service has been restored. The remote terminal serving our location lost
AC power. It is now on generator back-up.

In this case it was during the strike. We visited the RT location a number of times during these events, and AT&T managers were working to resolve the issue, while a short distance away line workers were striking. I suspect that the repeated failure would not have occurred if the normal staff were the ones doing the fix!
