One day i was watching CSPAN and number of congressman have addressed this issue:
If there isn't going to be data caps TV will extinct it self due to the fact of revenues
Many people are now have Internet access and so therefore when TV rolling samething over and over and over again, people are going to be disappointed and move on to some other mean of information accumulation
So as a government they have to keep this going to be able to manipulate crowed of people in one way or...
Comcast just recently lunched a law suit(PER CSPAN congressman talk), too eliminating data caps due to the fact that they are loosing there costumers by packs.(i was kinda glad to hear about it)
Also the other side of TV which nobody is willing to do, due to the same fact of closing TV station.
Letting costumer to decided what channels they want to watch and not
From my previews experience this does not take A LOT to add or remove a channel or a group of channels for that matter.(just a simple power off/on cycle of a receiver to acquire new programming)
That' the only way to deal with.!
An example would be:
If i buy a channel 1 i do not want to get 100+ more channels just to watch 1 channel (FREE-PAID/commercial channels)
To be able to create per-person channel package (the first company will do that WILL KILL EVERY OTHER tv provider company out there) and now that's what i call TRUE PURE COMPETITIVE market place
But what is REAL:
Guy#1 sales product #1 and Guy#2 sales product #1 and government(some reach ass fox) saying you are not allowed to sale product #2 because you have to be reachass guy like we are!(when ever somebody says competition it let's me know he/she does not know a thing or two about competition @ current and a future times)
Also from real world example on manipulation
I know a guy that's incharge of repairs on major airplane/travel company during 2008-2011 most everybody received a pay and care cuts where as CEO/CFO/Etc.. has gained bonuses from pay/care cuts(this example also applies to data cap's revenues)
It would be nice as a bundle package which is:
If i buy 5 channels from the same company(an example HBO) i would only pay for 4-1/2 channels... or something like that
People from my experience have tried and done better then others with such approche since people are tend to pay extra $1-3 to get better then others
Dane on TWiT.tv Special 133 talks about bandwidth caps
General discussions and other topics.

Hm, is Sonic going to be able to provide some kind of TV access? Or can you recommend a one-time one-program way to get access?
I never felt the need of a television -- but today I want to see Rachel Maddow's program from March 6th,
and that's only available through "now.msnbc.com" which requires having a "TV provider" account.

For cable specific channels like MSNBC, there are not any good ways to get access without an actually cable or satellite account. It's archaic. The only good way I can think of is friends or family who are willing to share their cable account logins, but that's probably against the terms of service.ankh wrote:Hm, is Sonic going to be able to provide some kind of TV access?
