Yep! I'm certainly excited to see our coverage expanding in our home town. We've got lots of staff who live here, and seeing more and more of our team on our own fiber is one of our key goals. And you too Dennis! =)

I just checked the app for service at my location. Says i can get up to 10gb. Is the service ATT or sonic? If not sonic then is my location still scheduled for sonic in Sept?

Its native Sonic. AT&T doesn’t offer 10G and sonic stopped reselling their service anyway.

I was looking for an existing thread to post to, but I didn't want to post to this thread, because in my opinion it's definitely not time to leave Sonic But still, from the previous posts, it does follow on. I would have preferred to call the post: "Evolutionary path to Sonic Wireless Service".

What I'm asking below is more of a question for Sonic, although any forum member can suggest their opinion on the possibilities. Sonic is rolling out fiber to allow customers to obtain their ISP service directly from Sonic, along with great customer service, support and Sonic's renowned privacy policies. The rollout of direct ISP access is ongoing and taking time. Meanwhile, there is a service called Fiber-to-node for those unfortunate enough not to already have direct access from their home.

As time passes mobile speeds will obviously get faster. In this thread, let's rename the current "Fiber-to-node" service to "SonicISP-to-node". Does Sonic plan or see any possibility in an equivalent mobile service called SonicWireless-to-node? i.e. customers can buy whatever cell phone (or device) they want, but do not have to buy a wireless service from a third-party. They instead buy the wireless service directly from Sonic along with the benefits of not having to deal with a third-party provider?

In its own SonicWireless-to-node, Sonic may still have to run its service over one of any number of those mobile service third-parties for some time to come, but customers would only be dealing with Sonic and then get the benefits mentioned above...until an equivalent mobile rollout turns up. The service might end up costing a little more as per SonicISP-to-node, but Sonic could "layer over" any number of current wireless providers to get the best deal and reduce those costs. Besides, paying a little extra is sometimes worth it, as current SonicISP-to-node customers know and maybe one day a direct SonicWireless may be rolled out.

So, what are the hurdles that would prevent a SonicWireless-to-node or perhaps more correctly, SonicWireless-to-device service?

Hello! Sonics' current focus is to expand and improve our Sonic-owned, 10-gig, Fiber service. This is Fiber delivered directly to the home using our Fiber optic cable. As for branching into a cellular service and/or teaming with other cellular providers, I do not see that occurring in the foreseeable future.

I noticed that a messenger line has been added to the poles on my street. Is this a sonic messenger line and would fiber be hung on this line?
