In South Berkeley we were originally told they would arrive by November, but It still hasn’t arrived.
The service for the first year is $40/mo. Equipment varies based upon how much WiFi coverage you want; the basic single-point router is $9.50/mo, but most customers are now opting for a mesh solution, which is $8 each for wired units and $4 each for wireless repeaters. So, the minimum for that equipment is $12/mo for two units, which is suggested for about 2500sq/ft of coverage. If you took three units instead ($8+$4+$4), that'd be the suggested configuration for 3500sq/ft. But you can go for as much or as little WiFi coverage as you'd like, and you can add or remove devices at any time. You can learn more about the WiFi mesh equipment at

Finally taxes and fees, which vary by City. Berkeley's got pretty high taxes, so currently those total up to $11.52/mo. You can find the current estimated taxes and fees for each City at:

SO, if doing the math here, you'd be looking a total of about $40 + $12 + $11.52 = $63.52, for Service + Equipment + Taxes/Fees, if you went for a typical configuration with two WiFi access points.
