Is anyone currently using Sonic.Net Fusion service in Alameda, CA? If so, what type of download/upload speeds are you getting? Thanks for the info.
Speed will vary based upon distance, so customers in any given region will see varying speeds. You could only really compare in a valid way if your next-door-neighbor was a customer.Onflight1978 wrote:Is anyone currently using Sonic.Net Fusion service in Alameda, CA? At that prequalification distance, our average delivered speed is just under 3Mbps. But, that's an average, and there's quite a bit of variability - we have customers getting as little as 1Mbps, and as much as 8Mbps. Quality of the copper, interference, and quality of the household wiring make for a really, really broad range. This is the primary reason we do not estimate speeds on our website.Ben wrote:What speed does 11000 feet distance translate into?
I'm sorry, it's not possible to estimate based upon a location description. You can check for service availability for a specific address on the website, at http://sonic.net/Guest wrote:Hello,
We are on Bay Farm on Mangrove Ln. Is that too far to get a good speed/reception?
