When installing a fiber connection, do you put in a new fiber cable drop to the house?. Then is the fiber connected to a modem or similar device that is then connected to my internal network? Or do you somehow reuse the two copper pair that are currently being used for the bonded ADSL2 Fusion connection?

Any links or other info on how this is all wired together?

I live in San Francisco, and have become accustomed to the ridiculousness that City Hall creates when competition confronts entrenched players.

Besides stepping up the game of Fusion subscriptions, what else could I do to remove obstacles to bringing fiber to SF?
