I'm seeing "Could not connect to this IMAP server. Check your network ....
on a half a dozen or so different email accounts lately, including sonic.net IMAP, iCloud IMAP, and other IMAP accounts. SMTP connections mostly work..

The problem usually goes away if I ignore it for a while, and comes back a few days later.

My doctor would say this is what we call "Internal Medicine" ....

Are you using the sonic VPN?
I am on sonic vpn and can’t synchronize.
My other mail works fine.

When I use PIA von I can connect to sonic server.

But for me going thru PIA also means I bypass my
Firewall.
So for me it could be my firewall blocking sonic server for some reason or that sonic vpn blocks it on their side.

Using the VPN, sporadically, I notice lots of web pages are 404, fail to display/time out.
But the mail unavailable intermittent problem happens when the VPN is not in use.
