My entire network of devices, some using DHCP, but others with static IPs in the range of 192.168.1.1-199 would all need be changed if I cannot change the default 192.168.42.1 of the PACE 5268ac router to 192.168.1.1. Big headache.

I haven't been able to locate info on changing the default and hoping it can be as simple as all other routers I use and/or have used.

Can you point me to where this documentation might be?

There isn't a user manual for the 5268 but changing the DHCP network range is pretty easy. Just do the following:

1. Open a web browser and navigate to 192.168.42.1 to get into the modem interface
2. Navigate to Settings
3. Navigate to LAN
4. Navigate to DHCP
5. Under the DHCP Network Range section select "Configure Manually", input your desired DHCP range and save
