Can Mailman be made to simply forward messages instead of stickinhg them in an attacvhment

I administer a Mailman e-list called [email protected] and find that whenever I release an email for posting instead of simply forwarding it, Mailman puts it inside an attachment before emailing, which I and others find annoying. Is there a way to make it simply pass the message along. If you need to say something about the transaction then THAT could be put in an attachment.
