incoming fax shows up in fax history, nowhere else

Hi,
I am able to receive a fax pdf sent from my computer, but not one sent from a fax machine to my sonic.net fax number.
The pdf was correctly e-mailed to me, but the fax from the machine was not. The fax shows up in the sonic.net fax history with the correct time and originating number, but zero pages.
Can you help?
