Fusion Line Profile Graph Gone?

Where'd the Fusion Line Profile graph go? That was really useful at assessing whether there were problems in my line and whether I needed to call Sonic.

Thanks for the report! We've brought this to the attention of our system operations group and a fix should be in place shortly. There's no official ETA as to when the tool will be back up, but if it isn't available again within 24 hours feel free to send me a direct message and I will follow up with the system operations group.

The line profile settings (download, or upload priority), and line performance graphs are online now. URL: https://members.sonic.net/labs/fusion-line-profile/

[resurrecting an old topic]

Looks like the Fusion Line Profile graphs (Member tools > Labs > Fusion Line Profile > View Graphs) are gone again. Can they be brought back, please?

The backend system that generated these graphs has been deprecated and replaced and there's no plans at this time to provide customer access to the new system.

Well that's sad news.... this was a very useful DIY troubleshooting tool to find out if the problem is "them" or "us" -- I was wondering why this feature was removed.

I'd strongly recommend that Sonic rethink policies like this, since ultimately I'd think it reduces the number of calls they get if there is an easy way to check line status at the provider end vs. customer end before making the call, but that's just me.

Just playin' devil's advocate... Since Sonic is trying to get away from providing service over rented telco copper, at some point, very few customers will even be able to use the Fusion line stat graphs. :D

I, too, missed the line profile graph. I solved the problem at least partially by having one of my always-on home machines extract the statistics from the modem's web interface and log it every 5 minutes. For both uplink and downlink I store the sync rate, the max theoretical rate, the power level, and the byte counts. You can set things up to plot easily in your favorite graphing tool.

I am going to try SNMP on the modem as an experiment-- not sure if it will export the ADSL modem statistics via SNMP -- but note that the Sonic-provided modem I have implements only SNMP v1 and has NO SECURITY WHATSOEVER so you really really need to set your read and write community names to something other than "public" and "private" (e.g., openssl rand -base64 11 and drop the "=".) and hope.

And the answer is... NO, the SR515AC modems do not support the ADLS line MIB (1.3.6.1.2.1.10.94).

If anyone finds a workaround to measuring sync speed over time, I'd love to hear it. They were very handy. My 2nd line is acting up again and knowing what's been going on has helped a lot.
