I had ATT just before Sonic and had a WD My Cloud (personal cloud) connected. I did the same kind of hookup on the Sonic router but it is not being found.I'm using only wifi, not ethernet as it is all the way across the room. I plugged the WD power in of course and the ethernet cable to the router. Same thing as through the ATT router. Did I miss something? It just isn't being found and no idea why not. Error message just says Can't connect to this device. Thanks.

I am a little confused. You mentioned Wi-Fi and not Ethernet, but later mention the Ethernet cable to the router. Would you be able to clarify your setup?

Is the computer Wi-Fi only and the Personal Cloud is plugged into the router via Ethernet? Is it the other way around? Do you only have the one modem/router provided by us or are the multiple routers at your location?

Sometimes devices that utilize your network need to run through a setup wizard or have an installation process. If this is the case, you may want to contact Western Digital or go to their website for information regarding that.

Edit: I would also be interested in seeing if a firmware update to your router would resolve this issue. If you could PM me your address I'd be glad to push that out.

There is another forum posting about 5268AC router and connecting issues with WD My Cloud devices. I can't tell from that thread if the firmware update fixes the connection issue.
