Once upon a time, Sonic had a lovely member tools page that listed dozens and dozens of things we members could do. You had to log in to see it. Now the members tools page is basically empty, with only 4 categories on a side menu. The bottom menu has little as well. (Yes, I complained about this, as did many others, back when you first got rid of the useful page, in favor of a pretty one, and asked for comments.)

If I click on "Support" I get a page with a few more options, but it's mostly about billing questions and basic tech support. Sure you need all that (and I bet that's most of the usage) but most of the services are missing.

In order to find the main page for the mailing lists, I had to go to the admin page for an existing mailing of mine, then I edited the URL to remove my list's name, and ended up with this:
https://lists.sonic.net/mailman/admin/

Which fortunately gives me a link to the page I want:
https://lists.sonic.net/mailman/create

I realize you may not want un-tech-savvy people creating mailing lists, but this seems like you're setting the bar for entry a bit too high...

I don't think I understand the problem.

You can add a new mailing list via Membertools by navigating: Email > Manage Email Lists > Add New Email List

EDIT: Actually, I must have missed the part where you mentioned only 4 categories on the left hand side. That sounds like you may be logging in through a mailbox. To find Mailing List options, you would need to log in through your main Sonic account.

This is what it looks like from:
https://members.sonic.net/

If you show different menus depending on how the login happened, that IMHO, is a very bad bug that needs fixing.

Yes, I have the email menu but it does not mention mailing lists. Perhaps because I do not have any current mailing lists on the account I logged in as. Which shouldn't matter! I'm trying to create a new one.

Alright, I logged out and logged back in from a different account, and yes, now the menu shows more choices.

Still though, the Support page needs to show mailing lists. It could say "you don't have permission to do this" if I try, but that isn't even relevant since the creation page was showing up fine (I didn't try to create one - see my other post).

The other account is not a mailbox. It is a second domain name account under the original account umbrella. It's been so long since I've had to log in for anything but graymail that I chose the wrong one. Still though, the information should be easy to find.

There are various services that only the main account has access to - as other accounts are for specific purposes (like mailboxes, child accounts for hosting, etc). Managing a mailing list is something we only intend the main account to be able to do by default.

Please update the Support page (the one for members) to show all the different services Sonic provides. Like it used to.

I would also appreciate a response to my other question (separate post in General).

Thank you.
