Newsserver host connection limit reached

Hi,

Using Agent V8, while trying to download some binaries from some newsgroups, Agent is reporting"

Error reported by server: 400 nnrp1.nntp.sonic.net: Your host connection limit reached

I've been using Agent for years. However, tonight I'm having these issues. Is this a problem with the newsserver?

Is that Sonic's usual news server, or a different one for binaries?

The regular one has been acting up since last night. First it was working at the newsgroup selection level, but would hang when I tried to read a specific message. Then it wouldn't even do that. Now it's displaying message subjects, but all of them are returning the "article is not available" error message when I try to read them.

I've been using Supernews most of the day, but it's reallllly slow at processing my .newsrc.

Yes, I was using the regular newsserver. It's pretty slow right now.

I'm actually trying to retreive articles that were posted a couple of weeks ago. Agent previously downloaded article headers, but I didn't have time to read them until now.

Sounds like it needs a reboot.
