Busy signal?

I'm trouble shooting our Sonic phone - we've had the service for months but never bothered to set up the "landline." When you pick up the phone, there is a dial tone but after you dial a number, it makes a sound as though the phone is off the hook/busy.

The phone is plugged into a converter, because it is an analog phone (designed to plug into the wall directly), and the converter was provided by Sonic.

I have no idea what to do! Thoughts?

Hey Pearl,

It's possible this is related to that converter. Unless that box is plugged in within a couple months, the device will not register properly on our end. If you can PM me your username, I can take a look and see what's going on, and get this moving in the right direction.
