Hello everyone

I am new at this so this may be easy and I just do not know how to go about it. I am an internet Disk Jockey on 2 internet radio stations. I use one pc for broadcasting, and want to know if I can get my free static IP and use that address for that one computer for the show and other uses on that one computer, and keep my other computers on the dynamic IP that I have with my sonic.net service. I have windows 10 and am guessing I can go to the router and change the ip address to the new static ip I will get. Am I wrong and if so can someone tell me how to set it up with this one pc for broadcasting.

thanks in advance

P. S. If you wish to hear my shows go to http://www.mikesmess.com and check out my page and the links to the internet shows I do.

thanks in advance

Hi,

You are entitled to one free static IP with your Fusion x1 service. Unfortunately, our circuits can either be static or dynamic at one time. Usually, the router gets assigned the IP address also it is possible to bridge it directly to the computer (not recommend). Any particular reason you want your other computers to be dynamic? I don't know too much in the way of Internet Radio DJing but I bet you could use port forwarding to get what you need done.

Thanks Robert

As I said I am new at this. It was just an idea I had and figured I would ask. I normally just set upload profile, log into the server to broadcast to and do my show. Again thanks.
