When is an error message not an error message? Apparently when it's on my FTTN modem.
Since mid-day yesterday, the "Broadband" LED on my NVG510 gateway (the fifth light from the top) has been rapidly flashing red. According to AT&T's troubleshooting info, this means
The thing is, however, that there is nothing different in the behavior of our connection now (15-ish down, 0.8 up) than from times when the red light isn't flashing. This has happened a few times over the last six months, with the same flashing-red-light-but-still-connected behavior. Rebooting the gateway makes the problem/non-problem go away (although that knocks my phone offline for 31 minutes, right Jacob K?).
