I was wondering when FTTN will be available in more areas of Sunset district. I live near Lawton St and 19th (1100 feet from the CO), but there is no FTTN. Are there any plans for FTTN upgrade soon (by end of 2015)?

- thanks, Saana.

For premises this close to the CO, FTTN isn't relevant. Instead, we'd put you on VDSL2 today, and at that distance you could expect 50-100Mbps for simple Fusion X1 service. If you are still on our older ADSL2+, click here to talk to support and they can migrate you to VDSL2 now: http://sonic.net/support/cba

Also in the Sunset, we'll begin offering Fiber-to-the-home soon, so that'll be when you're likely to end up, if you're on one of the streets we are building out.

Thanks! I need to get a new Sonic connection and make a switch from Comcast. Hopefully it will be VDSL2.

If you give customer support a call (or send me a PM) we can determine whether your service will be provisioned on VDSL or ADSL/2+ equipment. Customer support can be reached at 1-888-766-4233, seven days a week, from 8am to 10pm.

Oh, hot damn... the fiber distro boxes are going up on the phone poles (there's one @ 24th & Kirkham), so hope springs eternal!
