Why is my Eudora suddenly (starting 7/26) getting certificate error messages when doing ssl with sonic mail? See the attachment for details. And also why has not tech support replied to my email queries? thanks, vern

It isn't entirely clear from the information provided but it looks like your client is not talking to pop.sonic.net -- pop.sonic.net has a certificate issued by Comodo.

What host name is it configured to check?
What does the error log under the cert details show after "The connection with..."
What's after the CN= that is truncated in the cert details? (You might be able to select and copy/paste it even if you can't display it.)

Yeah, sorry for suspecting Sonic. Upon further investigation, it was another personality, one that pulled up mail from a gmail account that was the culprit. I just stopped that one from retrieving mail and the error went away. I should probably follow up with gmail, but it is an account that I rarely use, so it will go to the end of my queue.

thanks for responding.
