I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to enter the credit card in order to match it to the one that we already have on file for your account in order to help authenticate your request to reset your password.

Nope! I'm not going to type in my credit card#. I will call in.
Sonic, please find another way. I have not seen any other business used this kind of authentication.

I agree. Use zip + house # + street. Anything but credit card number/SS#.

It's the only info we have which is non-public. Your name, address etc are all easy for people to obtain.

Phone numbers are also effectively public.
