Hello !

I guess this is a question to one of the admins or Dane himself . I just recently got my FTTN installed and I love it 55 mbps / 5 mbps speeds are awesome compared to what I had before .

The question that I have is are you guys ever going to allow people to go above the 55 mbps cap ? ( for higher price of course ) . For example I am less then 200 ft away from VRAD box my sync rate is 130 and if possible I would love to go as fast as my lines can go ... said that do you foresee in the near future removal of data caps and offering higher tiers of FTTN ?

Part of this is AT&T, the 45M advertised tier (sync capped at 55M down/6M up) is in many places the highest tier available despite higher sync rates. There is a a 75M tier (seems to be capped at 90M/8M, but information is sparse), but availability is limited, Sonic may be waiting for wider availability to offer it? My guess is there would be an additional cost for the higher tier, as AT&T is charging tiered pricing to Sonic.

As toast0 notes, the next tier is 75Mbps, but availability overall is limited, and it's not available at all in the commercial enterprise wholesale channel yet. (Despite some other ISPs promoting that speed.)

Awesome thanks for the reply Toast0 and Dane :) I am perfectly happy with my 55 mbps :) I guess my curiosity about higher tiers got the best of me :P
