dial-up and high use of graphic

Sonic's change to what I've been told are more intensive graphics has resulted in much longer load times to access any of their pages. They are aware that dial-up users use their site (we do pay for this, you know) and I don't understand why they would change pages that used to take 1-2 minutes to load to new! improved! pages that take 6-7 minutes. My login page now takes four times longer, as does graymail. Whatever, in case the "system architects" are too young to know, back in the Dark Ages of dial-up and BBSs, when DSL and cable were just being introduced, most home pages offered an option button/check box where the user could select dial-up or broadband - graphics were reduced and more rapid downloads were possible on dial-up. This would be a considerable benefit to all of us in Sonic's rural areas.
