DMARC affecting Domain Email Addresses

I have some "domain email addresses" (https://members.sonic.net/email/domalias/) set up for my Sonic-hosted domain. Last April when Yahoo switched on their DMARC setting, some email to some of those addresses started bouncing. Then pretty quickly things cleared up, and all was well for a few months. Here's a related message about how this was affecting mailing lists at Sonic: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2053

But it's just started happening again. Mail sent from a Yahoo address, to a Sonic domain email address that forwards to someone at outlook.com, is bouncing:
reason: 550 5.7.0 (BAY004-MC6F30) Unfortunately, messages from (69.12.210.173) on behalf of (yahoo.com) could not be delivered due to domain owner policy restrictions.
Does anyone know what has changed, and is there any defense against this?

Thanks

Nearly all clients, including most popular web services, can check a pop3 or imap service for mail just a like a normal client. This is a better solution than forwarding mail around. Forwarded mail is problematic for service providers both large and small and frequently runs afoul of anti-spam measures.

Yahoo's policy doesn't make a lot of sense and they are knowingly breaking all kinds of legitimate use.
