I have tried sending faxes today using the prefix 1 in front of the area code and also without the 1 and I still get fax failed-Unknown status. Last August 2014 I had the same issue when I faxed to a local 707 number. Will I ever be able to use this feature?

I'm digging through the logs and trying to figure out what we could try differently for this connection. Can you tell me anything further about what sort of equipment might be on the other side of that connection? May I send some test faxes to it? Thanks!

Just to elaborate a little bit more: We're currently getting upwards of a 95% success rate on sending faxes, and we'd love to tweak our settings to get that number up further, but aside from taking some guesses, tweaking phone switch settings and statistically measuring the results, we really don't have a way to fix what happens with a particular remote fax machine and phone line configuration combination without being able to work with someone on the far end to try things.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately the fax number I was sending to is a State number and I really have no access to anyone on the other end so as to test it. I dropped it in the mail but hopefully the next time I try sending faxes it will be a different outcome.
