Cant send email from ipad

It's been a few months. Maybe as far back as March or April. Im not sure at this point.

I have a first gen iPad running OS 5.1.1.
All of the settings are correct according to Sonic's email help page.

I can send email from my yahoo accounts but not from any of my sonic accounts.

Im wondering if it has something to do with the conversion to Dovecot. But the help page only lists changes to incoming mail so not sure.

What does Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars->(sonic account) show? Are you using IMAP? If so, what does Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars->(sonic account)->Account->Outgoing Mail Server show as the "Primary Server"?

Yes I am using imap.
Primary server is mail.sonic.net
Ssl is on
587 is the port.

Have you double-checked the SMTP username/password? Note that you have to enter your sonic username/password twice, once for reading email, and once for sending (the SMTP server).

Yes, user name and password have been triple checked.

I think you'll have to contact Sonic support. My iPad works fine with Sonic's IMAP.
