Slow access to home page

Since you have changed your website, access to load is unbelievably slow--more than 60 seconds to get to webmail, whereas previously access was essentially instantaneous. I am using Mozilla Firefox. Have you made the decision to abandon customer convenience simply to have a snappier looking website? A bad decision.

I haven't noticed a significant change in speed loading. I wonder if there is an issue with our site related to your browser or PC. What're you using?
Note you can bookmark webmail.sonic.net for instant access.
Or, note that we do not recommend webmail unless you are borrowing someone else's computer. If it's your own system, consider using a normal email client such as Thunderbird, Outlook Express or Mail. They're way, way faster than webmail.

I am using Firefox for a browser and my PC is an HP quad core 64 bit system running Windows 7. The website is already bookmarked. The loading time for the Sonic home page is about 45 seconds whereas before the home page format was changed, the loading time was essentially instantaneous.

Interesting. Clear cache? Does it load slowly in all three major browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox)?

It works just fine for me.

Sometimes it loads briskly for me, and other times I get a "page cannot be loaded" error from IE. The latter usually happens after I have been browsing other sites, and resolves after 1 or 2 refresh attempts, making me suspect the crappy DNS resolver in the Pace 4111N.

rle,
Thank you for alerting us to the page load speed problems you are having. We are in the process of making some changes to the site to improve speeds.
