Problem: Many of my Imac with Yosemite MacMail mailboxes are missing many messages visible to me on the Sonic mail server. When I rebuild MacMail, none of the missing messages appear, nor does the Sonic help desk have a clue as to why the mail server and my Imac aren't synchronizing properly. Any ideas out there what Sonic might do to help me, or what I might do to fix my side of the situation?

Thanks,

IMAP folders may need to be manually assigned to a Mac Mail account in order to synchronize properly; have you manually viewed the subscriptions for the account in Mac Mail? You can view a list of your mailboxes folders on the server in the webmail settings here: https://webmail.sonic.net/?_task=settin ... on=folders

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked there and all was OK. Then, I did the obvious: I restarted Mail and suddenly all folders were replenished correctly. My analysis is that during a recent period, my Comcast link went down frequently and perhaps that happened during an update time of Mail, leaving a large number of folders emptied but not replenished. Or, who knows what else? Basic message to me: restart or reboot before jumping to conclusions/ :D
