Hello,
Noticed this morning that I can't get more than two connections to news.sonic, and they're running rather slow.

Code: Select all

[root@muscledog ~]# netstat -an |grep 199.245
tcp 0 0 64.142.22.68:60141 199.245.68.11:119 ESTABLISHED

Code: Select all

[root@muscledog ~]# telnet news.sonic.net 119
Trying 199.245.68.11...
Connected to news.sonic.net.
Escape character is '^]'.
400 nnrp1.nntp.sonic.net: Your host connection limit reached - news@sonic.net

Did something get changed?

Negative. Should I be?

No. To confirm, the news server saw 8/8 connections active when you were getting this error. They'll timeout eventually. I wouldn't bother with any additional troubleshooting unless it becomes persistent.
