HI am serious considering adding forum software to my site. I am wondering if there are any suggestions for what would work best with Sonic and where I might get support to install and maintain the software.

Well, we use phpBB for this forum (https://www.phpbb.com/). There is a lot of information as far as support goes available online to help you in deploying and maintaining your forum. Sonic does not provide assistance with building web sites, so if online documentation is not enough you may consider contracting with a web developer. Good luck!
