Connection Issues (DNS failure) - Work around.

If you are having an issue where the domains you are trying to get to are not resolving in a timely manner you can manually change your DNS server to something like 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 (Google's DNS servers).
It is under your Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections then Properties of the connection, then properties of the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), then change Obtain DNS server address automatically to your own preferred one such as above.
FYI the default Sonic DNS servers are 208.201.224.11 and 208.201.224.33 I believe in case you need them.
