not receiving faxes

I have been unable to receive faxes to my fax number, when i called support they recommended that i post a message here.

There are sometimes problems in the communication between the sending and receiving fax. You can check your faxline history here: https://members.sonic.net/fax_rx//?a=logs
If you see either 0 or [blank] pages received there was a communications error and the transmission was unable to complete.

I have had the same problem with three different faxes over the past week. Is there something on Sonic's end that needs to be fixed? It would be helpful if we could receive an email stating that a fax was attempted and unsuccessful so we can follow up.

I am also not receiving faxes twice over the past two weeks. Both were attempts from the same number and they have faxed me in the past without any problem.

Our faxes are not being sent to others or received from others. Why isn't Sonic answering these questions??!! I lost an important business document today that was faxed to us, but not received. Who knows where it went?! >:(

That is the method provided with this tool to confirm the status of a transmission, so when attempting to transmit a document it is advisable to use the faxline or sent fax history to ensure that the transmission was successful.

So, it sounds like if it shows "0 pages received" in your log, you just have to try again? No additional error details available?

No, not with that 0 or blank 'pages received'. There are other errors that are reported in slightly more detail, but unfortunately not this one.

I am trying to receive a fax and for some reason I am unable to receive the fax. I have received faxes from then (Hertz) in the last couple of days and I can send a fax to myself.

I am not sure just to give up and ask them to mail the voucher or if there something they can do which would help

I got a lot of useful information from all theses posts. I also have not been able to receive lately but have had pretty good success in the past (2 years). Gotta remember this is LABS, not a supported service. eFax charges a monthly fee for their service, as an option... Many thanks to this forum for the info.
