Are there only certain files or documents that the sonic fax line will accept? From reading other posts it seems medical reports and/or documents don't come through. I need to receive medical reports. Thanks.

Faxline works with most fax machines, the type of document that is being sent is irrelevant, although there can be problems with the communication between the machines that can cause a transmission to fail.

Can the problem be that the fax is coming from a computer instead of a fax machine?
No, when you are using a fax tool over a computer the program is emulating the functionality of a fax machine.
