Sonic.net Fusion voice dial tone sounds different

Have a question on Sonic.net Fusion voice dial tone, I noticed that unlike the traditional or AT&T landline where it's a solid dial tone, the one I hear has a few short pauses at the beginning, is this normal?

The "stutter" dial tone indicates that you have a voice mail waiting. Once you delete all voice mails, the dial tone will no longer have the stutter.

You may want to enable voicemail notifications via SMS, or Twitter direct message - or use our iPhone app. Finally, the stutter dialtone indicates a message waiting, and if your telephone handset has a message waiting light or display, that's triggered too.
