When using Sonic VOIP app, calling service doesn't "hear" keypresses

There's an old topic in the forum related to this, but it seemed tied to physical phones.

I was in Europe for a couple weeks using a data only eSIM on my cellphone and needed to "approve" a CC charge. The process required giving the bank a phone # to call. I had them call my Sonic landline and then answered the call via the voip app. I then got an automated request to hit Zero on the keypad. I did this and tried multiple times, but the calling service never "heard"/reacted to my keypress.

Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks

For what it's worth, I've had the same experience.

if the app does not do it and has no options to do it, you can use a sandalone DTMF generator, or use an DTMF generator app (maybe using a second phone)
