Recently, all calls to my Sonic home VOIP number are also simultaneously ringing on my cell phone (iOS 18.1.1) via the Sonic Mobile Communicator app. I can't seem to stop this or un-set it.
In the CommPortal, my phone status is set as available, and incoming calls are set to "Ring on your account phone" only.
No advanced forwarding options are set in the CommPortal.
On the app, in the Call Manager screen, status is also shown as Available, and calls are sent to "Account Phone only".
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
I've tried toggling the target of incoming calls to a different setting (All phones together) and then back to Account phone only.
Regular Sonic support couldn't help or provide insight.
Hoping someone here can help me out or contact me to resolve.
This seems to have started after I travelled to another country, where I installed an e-sim that only supported data. I disabled my Verizon sim during that period. I had to make a phone call while there, so I used the Mobile Communicator app to make a VOIP call. Upon returning to the US, I deleted the data-only e-sim and reenabled my Verizon sim. I also updated iOS somewhere in there. But since then, all calls to my Sonic VOIP home phone also ring on the Mobile Communicator app.
Help!
Thanks,
David
