For the past two days I have been getting typical Graymail items delivered to my regular Inbox. This morning there were about 35 new items in Graymail, and 70 in my Inbox, at least 65 of which should have gone to Graymail. Is this something happening to others?

As of a few days ago my wife is receiving a ton of spam emails to her Sonic inbox all from pantelleria.ovh domain. So yes, you're not alone. If the emails are coming from the same domain (as in her case) its easy enough to add the domain to Sonic's email blocklist under member tools but these spammers are constantly switching tactics obviously.

You could try lowering the hit score in spam assassin but as Sonic states, "a lower number will tag more mail as spam, but will also increase the chances of false positives (legitimate messages being marked as spam)."

pantelleria.ovh Yep, that's what many are from. Added to blocklist.

Yah, I've seen that... I've received two blasts of about 50 spam emails each to two email addresses over the last couple days. All from *@lelab.ovh, and all to my domain email address (not sonic.net).

Blocklist is best for this sort of thing.

I've also been receiving a crazy number of porn dating spam mails to my sonic email address lately. But that's a separate problem.

Something is definitely amiss the last day or two.

I've set my 'points' down to 2.5 and still deleted 50-60 spam messages from my inbox this morning!

Help, Sonic! Whatever you are doing with SpamAssassin is *NOT* working; maybe time for an upgrade?

This has been very sudden and is *huge*.

thanks

Both my wife and I are getting tons of spam the last few days from various domains ending in .ovh. I tried to blacklist *.ovh, but that does not seem to work. I just added @*.ovh so I will see if that works. This is very annoying.

I was getting a lot of .ovh spam in Graymail, so I set a blocklist address of *@*.ovh". That format has worked fine for other domains, but now, like the rest of you, I've been getting a bunch of ovh spam emails in my Inbox. I thought I had used the wrong syntax with my blocklist entry, so I came here to the forums to ask what I had done wrong, and saw this thread.

So i guess the answer is that I didn't do anything wrong; there's something amiss with Sonic's spam filtering. Sonic folks, any idea why all these ovh emails are eluding your filters?

Well, that's not working. Am I not entering it correctly in the blocklist? Is there some other way I need to enter it? It's in the blocklist both ways. What am I missing?

*@pantelleria.ovh
*.pantelleria.ovh

This is clearly a spoofed domain (ovh), and, like others of you, we have fallen victim. Sonic techs, please get on this. Make it a priority, please. Have tried every way to block these, including all that you have suggested, and it is not working.

I called 2 days ago, so they are aware of it. Whatever these spammers figured out is evading the filters. Mostly ovh domains, but a few oddball ones like they filled in random words for the "from". I can manually delete them, but hopefully this can be fixed.
