Hi there - I signed up for Sonic Fiber at an address on Taylor St in San Francisco. This MDU is within the service area for 10gb fiber from Sonic. After talking with the building manager - she mentioned that they allowed Sonic to come on-site in the past and the installation process was deemed "too invasive" and that Sonic misled the building in what would be required for installation. As such, she deemed that the building will only have access to pre-existing xFinity internet.

My question - is there any way that Sonic can reach back out to my unit and go over exactly what would be required and see if there are any solutions to steps that the building manager has deemed "too invasive"? I know there is a potential legal process to go through, as the ordinance in SF requires more than "too invasive" as a reason landlords can refuse installation. There are 6 other units that also want Sonic in the building.. with a little bit of handholding, I think Sonic could alleviate my property manager's concerns.. without having to wait for legal arguments.

Hello!

It seems you were able to talk to our MDU team about the next steps for your building. I hope it was insightful. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best Wishes!
