dead link on "Fusion IPv6 Tool" page

On
https://help.sonic.com/hc/en-us/article ... -IPv6-Tool the link
https://members.sonic.net/connections/fusion/ipv6/ goes nowhere special.
I was trying to understand what my IPv6 configuration is from the Sonic side, since I'm doubting that I got it set up correctly on my side. I use my modem in a bridge mode, all setup is on my servers instead. Where can I find this?

Hi Michael,
I'm sorry about the dead link. We appreciate you bringing that to our attention, so that we could edit it to the correct link. I have updated the wiki page to display the correct link in Member Tools, which is
https://members.sonic.net/labs/ipv6tunnel/
I hope this helps!
Kind regards,

OK, thanks @brandonc, that solves part of the mystery. The other part is that when I click the "View/Request Tunnel" button, it prints:
Code: Select all
Transport:: 2001:05a8:0000:0001:0000:0000:0000:____/127
Network:: 2001:05a8:____:___0:0000:0000:0000:0000/60
(IDK how much of that is private.)
The addresses that I have configured currently, from several years ago, for 6RD are like 2602:244:624e:....
- Did something change? addresses, maybe?
- Is the technology different? because the iproute2 commands look similar, still looks like 6RD, but I don't understand the old "sixbone" reference.
Also, the content on
https://help.sonic.com/hc/en-us/article ... -IPv6-Tool looks nothing like the
https://members.sonic.net/labs/ipv6tunnel/ page that it references. It does, though, make reference to "6in4 tunneling", which links to a page whose content does match what I'm seeing.
So is the technology you're using 6in4 aka SIT, not 6RD? If so, idk how I got so confused years ago.

I was poking around this subject in 2021:
viewtopic.php?t=17001
Back then, I set up commands like this:
Code: Select all
ip tunnel add 6rd-0 mode sit local __.__.__.__ ttl 64
ip tunnel 6rd dev 6rd-0 6rd-prefix 2602:240::/28
ip addr add 2602:244:____:___0::1/28 dev 6rd-0
ip link set 6rd-0 up
ip route add ::/0 via ::184.23.144.1 dev 6rd-0

There's three ways we provide v6. First, is the old legacy tunnel services which still has some utility, but primarily is still around because we don't like turning things down which are in use, even by few customers. Second, is via 6rd (this is also deprecated) but still functional if you configure it manually on your end - this was primarily setup to deliver v6 services to customers on our legacy copper xDSL services. Third, native. Anyone enterprise customer or end user on our fiber network should avail themselves with native v6 services.
